Kamyra La Fauci is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and a member of the Dietitians’ Association of Australia. She completed her Masters at the University of Sydney and has several years’ experience working across community, corporate and private practice Dietetics, specialising in obesity and chronic disease management in both individualised and group education settings.
In previous years, Kamyra spent time working with community health programs including Eat It to beat it and Go4Fun that target overweight and obese children in the community and primary schools across New South Wales. Kamyra then moved on to deliver her nutrition expertise on a wider scale for the Impromy program, a partial meal replacement program in collaboration with the CSIRO, gaining experience in delivering nutrition education to individuals and large group audiences, developing nutrition resources, and working alongside the CSIRO to curate recipes for the Impromy Flexi Cookbook.
At present, in addition consulting at Diet Matters, Kamyra consults as a Dietitian at The BMI Clinic, which specialises in non-surgical weight loss procedures such as the Intragastric Balloon and Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty.
Kamyra is passionate about health and nutrition and works closely with clients to assist them in making sustainable and practical lifestyle changes to achieve a healthier and happier lifestyle long term. Her main interests are in the areas of weight loss, insulin resistance, diabetes and the nutritional management of gastrointestinal diseases such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
